Kochi, India – [05/11/2023] :A walkathon "Walk Against Corruption" was organized under the auspices of Vigilance Study Circle, Kerala on 05.11.2023 as part of Vigilance Awareness Week being celebrated on the theme ‘ Say no to Corruption, commit to the Nation’. Starting from High Court Junction to Rajendra Maindan, Ernakulam more than 1200 employees and family members of Public Sector Organisations like Cochin Shipyard Ltd, CISF, BPCL, CoPA, FACT, United India Insurance, Coir Board, LIC, DoT, BSNL, Oriental Insurance, Coconut Development Board, National Insurance, Indian Overseas Bank, New India Assurance, HOCL wholeheartedly participated in this walk which was graciously flagged off by Hon'ble Justice V K Mohanan, Chairman, State Police Complaints Authority.
Heads of several Organisations, namely, Shri. Madhu S Nair, CMD, Cochin Shipyard Limited, Shri. B.Kasiviswanathan, Chairman Cochin Port Authority, Shri. Abhairaj Singh Bhandari, Executive Director - Kochi Refinery, BPCL, Smt. V Sobhana, Addl DG, DoT,Kerala, Dr. Francis Jacob, PGM, BSNL, Directors of FACT and CSL led the Walkathon.
The Chief Vigilance Officers Smt. S Uma Venkatesan, CVO, CSL, ShriThillaivasan Prabhu , CVO CoPA, Dr Soorya Thankappan, CVO FACT and the Vigilance Officers of the participating organisations organised this Walkathon for ncreasing public awareness on the need to be vigilant against corruption and work towards progress of the Nation.
