CSL has two nominee Directors representing Government of India and Government of Kerala, who are appointed by the President of India through Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India until further orders. No remuneration is paid to the Government Nominee Directors.
Non Official (Independent) Directors of Cochin Shipyard Ltd are appointed by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India for a period of three years. The terms and conditions of appointment are as follows: 1. The Non Official (Independent) Directors are paid sitting fees at the rate of Rs.30,000 for every Board meeting and Committee meeting thereof attended by them. 2. Reimbursement of travelling /accommodation expenses for participation in the Board and other committee meetings.
