03 July 2026, Kochi: Shri Jose VJ, Chairman and Managing Director, Cochin Shipyard Limited, paid a courtesy visit to Shri V D Satheesan, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala. The meeting served as an opportunity to convey greetings and reaffirm CSL’s continued commitment to partnering in Kerala’s industrial and maritime development.
During the meeting, CMD briefed the Hon’ble Chief Minister on the significant progress achieved by CSL in recent years and provided an overview of the Company’s ongoing projects, future expansion plans, and strategic initiatives.
Discussions were primarily focused on projects aimed at strengthening Kerala’s maritime infrastructure, enhancing indigenous shipbuilding capabilities, promoting green and sustainable maritime technologies, and creating greater employment and industrial opportunities in the State.
The CMD also apprised the Hon’ble Chief Minister of CSL’s initiatives in advancing sustainable maritime transportation, modern shipbuilding and ship repair capabilities, port-led development, and the Company’s expanding national and international project portfolio.
The deliberations specifically touched upon upcoming projects that are expected to further reinforce Kerala’s position as a leading maritime hub.
The Hon'ble CM conveyed his best wishes to CSL and assured the support of the Govt. of Kerala in advancing transformative maritime and infrastructure projects that contribute to the socio-economic development of Kerala.
